I have worked in sculpture in one form or another for most of my life. I began working in metal as a medium around 1994. For me the initial attraction to welded steel is that you can weld steel in impossible positions and arrangement that you cannot structurally get with clay, wood or most any other material. And then balanced steel takes that improbably and tension to another level. My sculptures are arranged as to juxtapose the organic, the geometric and manufactured components in order to call attention to the inherent beauty of each element.
